Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Ram 1500, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Kit. Adding this gooseneck hitch to the back of your Ram 1500 is gonna allow you to do a couple of different things. You can use it for its sole purpose and haul gooseneck trailers. You can put B&W Companion in it and haul fifth wheel trailers. In our specific case, we cannot do the fifth wheel conversion because we have these Ram boxes on the side, and you will have to use a standard rail kit with a standard fifth wheel and use a side winder on your camper in order to haul a fifth wheel with your short bed truck. more

If you have that factory prep package, this is the way to go for a gooseneck ball because it's very quick and easy to get uninstalled or install it initially. So if you're someone who maybe isn't towing all the time and you don't want to have to leave it in here, then you don't. It's very easy to remove and it leaves your bed fully open to use as a normal truck bed. Then when you're ready to go, just drop it in place and you're ready to rip. more

Today we have a 2022 Ram 2500 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you some of the cool features about the B and W ball and safety chain loop for Ram factory puck systems. This kit is going to include your gooseneck ball which is a 2 5/16 gooseneck ball rated at 30,000 pounds, two safety chain loops that are going to install in the rear two pucks. They do not fit in the front pucks. The design of the rear puck is a little bit different and it's not nearly as narrow as the front, so they'll install in your rears. What I like about 'em is that all three of 'em are going to lock into place. more

With the factory puck systems, you know, it's really cool how easy they make it to be able to use, you know, a gooseneck style hitch or even a 5th wheel for that matter, you know, these things just drop right into place. And that's exactly how this kit is gonna work, and it'll be compatible with trucks that have a long bed like ours as well as the short bed. With that said, as far as the kit is concerned, I think it's decent. This one is a really heavy-duty style one, it's got a rating of 38,000 pounds, which is definitely up there. more

Hi, John with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the B&W Ball and Safety chain kit, and this is going on our 2019 Dodge Ram 3500 with the prep package. Now this is gonna give you that solid connection that you need if you have a gooseneck trailer. And this is gonna utilize the factory puck system or the prep package. And this is available for 5th wheels and just like this for gooseneck this thing is super easy to take in and out. And that's one of the things I like about this and goosenecks is that you can completely clear the bed if you need to haul lumber or anything else just to have the bed clear and you don't have a 5th wheel sitting back here that you have to take out every time you need bed space. more

Now, this is what it's gonna look like when it's installed. And when you're ready to hook up to your gooseneck, you'll have your ball right here and you can use the latch on the side to lock that in. But the great part about this kit is the fact that when you're not using this, you can actually stow this upside down and it's gonna fit in there with no problems. It's also gonna make sure that you have full access of your bed and even your safety chain loops sit pretty good in between the corrugations here to maximize the flatness of your bed, so it's not gonna be in the way when you need your truck to be a truck. more

Curt Underbed Gooseneck Hitch Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit Installation - 2022 Ram 2500- Video
Today, we're gonna be utilizing the OEM puck system on our 2022 Ram 2500. And this right here is the Curt Gooseneck and safety chain kit for that OEM puck system. Utilizing the OEM puck system on your Ram is gonna make this just super quick and easy, so all we have to do is just lift up this little tab here, and we can have our bed back in a matter of seconds. So this is really, really quick, really easy, and this one does have a pretty big capacity compared to the other Curt that you may be looking at. This one has a capacity of 3,800 pounds, and then the other difference between the two Curts is this one is gonna give us about an inch and five eighths of rise. The rise is gonna be very useful if you're already maxing out the coupler on your trailer and you still need to get it a little bit more level, but also, just to make sure that it's gonna clear our tailgate. more

Now here's what our gooseneck is going to look like once we have it installed. Now I really like B&Ws. They make a really nice hitch and as you can see, if you take your measurements properly, they fit really, really well in the bed. And you're not going to have this misshapen hole and it's almost perfectly lined up without making any kind of adjustments. So these, by far, are some of my favorite goosenecks that I've ever installed.Now like most gooseneck hitches, it is going to give us a two and five 16th inch ball to hook up to our trailer. more

But at the same time, whenever we're not towing our Gooseneck we can actually remove the ball and we'll have full bed access. And because of the design, we can actually store the ball inside the receiver tube here so we'll have a clean look and we won't have to worry about finding somewhere else to put the ball. Today on our 2011 Ram 3500, we're going to be installing Curt's Double-Lock Flip and Store Underbed Gooseneck Hitch with installation kit. You could also pick up just the hitch separately or just the installation kit by itself.This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. You have your flush-mounted gooseneck ball insertion point here with your safety chain loops on each side. The safety chain loops are spring loaded to help keep them drawn down in the bed of the truck when not in use to help maximize your truck bed. Additionally, the hitch ball can be pulled out and placed upside down, further maximizing your use of your truck bed. It's going to allow you to haul your gooseneck trailer, and it has a 7,500-pound ton weight. more

There's a release lever on your driver's side wheel well. This is for your ball mount. You can lock it forward to keep it released, and pull it back and let it in to lock your ball in place. This is convenient and easy to access.One of the main benefits of this kit versus others is that you'll be able to have full truck bed access. more

This is what our BMW gooseneck system looks like installed. As you'll notice, this is a completely under bed system, which gives us more room in the bed of our truck. And this is what it looks like topside. Our BMW head here, sits flush with the upper level of the corrugation in the bed of our truck. As you can see, it's going to be nice and flush with the bed here, and we're going to still have full access to put anything in or take anything out of our bed that we may need. As you can see, you're going to have the two and 5/16 inch ball here and safety chain connection points. They're on a spring loaded, so that's going to keep them from rattling, keep them from bouncing around but still gives you plenty of room to get even the biggest chains connected. By raising the handle and rotating it, you're going to be able to lift that ball right out of there. more

Today on our 2017 Ram 2500, we're going to be test fitting the Reese Elite Series pop in ball kit for the Ram under bed goose neck hitch. Part number is RP30140. Now, the ball itself is 2 5/16 of an inch, which is pretty standard for your goose neck balls. It offers a weight capacity of 30,000 pounds. Of course, you don't want to exceed the carrying capacity of your truck, so check the owner's manual and just go off whatever its tow rating is. Your safety chain connection points will come out just as easy. Lift the keeper, rotate and remove. more

It's gonna have a heat treated two in 5/16 ball and it's gonna be right here and it's gonna have full access to make it easy when you need to hook up your trailer. Now, when you're not ready to tow or if you need to put anything in your bed, you can grab this ring here, which you can see is plenty big. I have gloves on and can still grab it. Today on our 2017 RAM 3500 we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Elite Series Pop-In Ball Kit for RAM Under-Bed Gooseneck Hitch, part number RP30140. So here's what our Reese system looks like when it's fully installed. It's going to give us 2-5/16 ball, as well as, two safety chain loops right here. And they're all going to go in, into our factory mounting point and the pucks are already existing in our bed. Now one of the really nice features of this system is that when the ball is locked into place, obviously you're not going to be able to take it out. But in normal, conventional gooseneck systems, there's a handle alongside of the driver's wheel well. Well with this one, this black tab right here if we lift it up and turn it, it'll unlock and we can remove our ball. more

Today on our 2017 Ram 2500 we'll be installing the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Custom Installation Kit, part number BWGNRK1384. All right, here's what our gooseneck looks like installed. As you can see, it's designed to work properly with our factory setup on our truck here. There was really no modification to the truck, just a couple minor drilling locations, and then it bolts in place where the factory prep package will be. Now that we've shown you the underside, we'll show you what it looks like on top. All right, here we are in the bed of the truck, and you can see what it looks like installed. As you can see, the only part we have really sticking out is our ball, 2 5/16 inch ball. more

Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Ram 3500- Video
Today on our 2017 Ram 3500, we'll be installing the B&W Turnover Ball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, with custom installation kit, part number BWGNRK1314. Now when we don't want to tow our gooseneck trailer and we want to store our ball in a stored position, so we have full access to our truck bed, you just pull the handle out, latch in position, raise it up, grab it, grab this handle here, drop it on down, and you can see it sits flush with the bed. Let's put it back in our tow mode now. Pull it out, flip it over, drop it in. I'll secure our latch real quick. Move it to the right, push it on in. Here with the ball latch inaudible 00:00:52, you can see the ball's not going anywhere, so we hook our trailer up, we couple onto the ball, hook our safety chains up to our loops. more

Curt Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram 2500 we'll be installing the curt under bed goose neck trailer hitch receiver, part number C60614. Here's what everything looks like once it's installed. When we're not towing our trailer and we want to have nice clean access to our truck bed, we put the plug in just like that and it'll keep any dirt and debris from getting inside the receiver making it difficult to insert the ball. As you can see everything sits very nice and flush with the bottom of our bed in these channels here. This won't take up hardly any of our bed space and we'll still be able to lay materials down flat inside our bed without taking up any of the space. Now when we're ready to hook up to our trailer, just remove our plug, take our ball, drop it down, twist the handle, push down in there and our ball's secure. Then we'll be ready to hook up to our goose neck. more

B and W Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Ram 2500- Video
Today on our 2016 Ram 2500, we'll be installing the B and W turnover ball, under bed, gooseneck trailer hitch with custom installation kit. Part number BWGNRK1384. This 2-5/16" gooseneck ball coupled with the B and W kit is capable of towing of 30,000 pounds with a 7,500 pound vertical load limit. Obviously, you'll want to consult with your owner's manual of your truck, and find out what it is capable of towing before you attempt to tow a load that heavy. The ball is constructed of a durable steel construction, which will give you many years of service. When we want to remove our ball, or if our truck of is capable of having the ball stored upside down, all we need to do is pull the handle out towards us, and towards the front of the truck. As you can see, it latches in this position for us to remove the ball. When we're ready to put the ball back in, just push towards the rear of the truck and it spring loads itself into the lock position. Here's what our hitch comes with. more
